HEAD COACH: David Park

Experience:

David started climbing at Purdue Corec bouldering wall back in 2014 and have been ever since. While attending Perdue he founded the Purdue climbing club with other passionate Boilermaker climbers, and competed in collegiate climbing series as well as local comps around the Midwest as a team. David’s first coaching experience started with Hoosier Heights Indianapolis as the conditioning coach for the Elite team, focusing on climbing specific weight training to create a strong baseline fitness for the youth athletes. David moved to Massachusetts in 2020 and became part of the Central Rock Gym Stoneham Elite & Advanced Youth team coaching staff. He led the team through mock comps, climbing focused training, conditioning, and private 1 on 1 coaching with elite team members. I supported the CRG team at regionals and national level USA climbing competitions in iso to ensure the youth athletes were properly warmed up and mentally ready to face the wall.

 Our Goal:

To create a supportive environment for youth to enhance their climbing skills. This initiative aims to build not only individual skills but also a strong sense of community among young climbers.

Who is it for:

Goal for coaching

Focus on learning, growth, and building connections as a new youth climbing team. Facilitate a supportive, safe, and healthy team community spirit. Create a national level capable team.
